There is something undeniably magical about autumn—the crisp evening air, cozy layers, flickering lights, and, of course, a healthy dose of things that go bump in the night.

Right outside the Charlottesville studio, tucked inside our whimsical tiny pink house, the Tiny Pikasso Gallery is debuting its newest micro-exhibition: "Spooked."

Facing What Makes Our Skin Crawl

We’ve all got things that make our pulse jump. Creeping spiders in the corner, shadowy haunted houses beneath a glowing full moon, sinister grins, deep waters, or creatures lurking just out of sight.

In life, the default advice is always to simply “be brave.” But the truth? Being brave is tough work. Facing scary moments—whether they’re childhood phobias, unexpected life twists, or the unknown—isn’t always easy or effortless.

With "Spooked," artist Jamie Schwartz set out to capture those universal shivers, facing our collective fears by shrinking them down into miniature acrylic works nestled inside ornate gold frames. By downsizing life's biggest frights into bite-sized scenes, the collection invites everyone to take a closer look, have a little fun with the uncanny, and realize that confronting the things that scare us doesn't have to be overwhelming.

A Cozy, Creepy Community Corner

Autumn is all about balancing the eerie with the comfortable, and that’s exactly what this tiny installation brings to the sidewalk:

• Miniature Masterpieces: From eerie clowns and fanged serpents to ghostly pumpkins and murky depths, discover how much drama can fit into a few square inches.

• Open Air & Free to View: Located right outside the Pikasso Swig Charlottesville studio, anyone passing by can stop, peek inside the tiny gallery windows, and take in the show at their own pace.

• Community-Minded Art: True to the Tiny Pikasso mission, this exhibit pairs creative expression with community heart, serving as a reminder that vulnerability and bravery go hand in hand.
